THE PARCEL FROM ROMANIA CAME !!!!!!

Today was a nice day because we received the parcel from Romania. The school attendent brought to us and we were very happy to see what was inside. We know that each country will include in his bag, things of his culture and musical instrument. We opened, looked, tried something on. It was very interesting and we were very pleased!!!
It was nice. We will go through everything again and we will also give a careful look to the diary board that came along with the parcel. We made some photos. Give them a look!

PREPARING THE REPORTAGE ON AUSCHWITZ AT SCHOOL FOR MEMORIAL DAY

We are preparing a reportage on Auschwitz, with photos and what we have seen and felt when we were there. We made also a video presentation and we are glad that we can tell to the audience ( students, teachers, parents, community) what going to  Auschwits means: you can't forget and nobody has to forget and we have to talk of that every year and let other students work on the holocaust.
Our teachers,  Elirosa Gatto that came to Poland  with us and Piero De Vita are the referents for this day:

STUDENTS' COMMENTS ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCE AT ZABRE, POLAND

Marco Silvestri
It was a fantastic experience from the first until the last day, the biggest thing that struck me was the welcome of  the host family, a loving family, nice, sweet, a model family.
As for me I didn’t  feel the nostalgia of being away from home, because they welcomed me and the  two other Italian students like their children. We had the opportunity to taste the typical dishes of their land, they did not miss anything: we visited  interesting  places  from the point of view of landscape and cultural heritage. We also went to play bowling, to the miniature  Europe and  to the biggest shopping center that is called "Europe center."  As for  the planned activities what truck me the most it was the visit to  the concentration camp Auschwitz - Birkenau,  and I realized during and after the visit that the man-made hell on earth.
Not to mention the new friends we made with the kids of the other partner schools.
We  established a relationship of  beautiful and lasting relationship with the family, as a matter of fact we already we meet on face book, and I hope to meet them in my country.

Soumia Khamlich
The experience of traveling to Poland was one of the trips that most of all marked me  from all points of view. It made me grow up and believe in myself. It made me realize that it is nice to meet new people and try new experiences , communicating with another  language (English) and  live in a diverse community, with different customs and habits. I explored A “NEW "WORLD" of which I was not aware of and what it will be  forever in my memory is the fact that I met wonderful people. I thank you very much my hosting family for making me feel at home and spoiled me and Marco and Sara. I want to thank also  everybody who made who gave me this chance to come to Poland, in Zabre.

Sara D’alba
I was very happy to be in Poland with this project. I liked all the activities we made in Zabre and I visited beautiful places. I made new friends at the meeting and I liked it much. What was wonderful was the hosting family that took good care of me , very attentive , adorable. The children were very nice and we had  nice time together. It was a very nice time, we did many things together. The family took us , Marco and also Soumia, to visit many places , we did many things together, they are a special family. They made me feel at home. I liked very much the visit to Auschwitz. It’ terrible what men can do to other men!!! I was sad because there was sufferings of million people in that place. The visit is very educational because we are young and never again this has to happen !
It was a wonderful experience. I know more about Polish culture and made more friends.

THE POLISH MEETING

The Polish meeting has been very educational because of the program planned by the Polish school. The hosting family welcomed us in the best way possible.. What we liked the  most was the beauty of the country and the hospitality and also the activities planned. The school was nice and the people very warm and friendly.

The trip planned to Awschwitz, where the holocaust took place , was highly emotional, we had a lump in the throught to see what millions of people went through and how they lost their lives!!!. We felt pain, there was sadness , grief, . What this country went through can’t be repeated and we have to be always alert to avoid that one day such horror could happen again against other people and in other countries.

The memorial day for the holocaust  of Jewish people that is in January is meant to send a message to all the world : Let's not  forget the atrocities made to Jews and let's work to avoid that one day it might happen again to other people in other places. This can be possible if we remember and we let other people to see what the Jews went through!!!

We, Sara, Soumia, and me Marco,  are going to present a reportage on our visit to Awschwitz and we will also express our feelings about the visit, that thanks to our Comenius project, we could see with our eyes what men can do to other men. But we  if you know, if you see, you can’t forget and you want to work, together with other people of other countries, to avoid that this might happen again.
This trip was also nice for the time spent with the other partners, for the music activities with other partner students , for the trip to Cracow, a beautiful city where Pop John Paul II was born. We cannot forget this experience!!!
